Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026. The Eliasons (“we,” “us”) operates theeliasons.com (the “Site”), a digital-products storefront for software licenses, courses, e-books, templates, UI kits, photographs, fonts, plugins, and audio. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle, how a static client-side cart works, and the choices you have. It is written for visitors and buyers in the United States. We do not publish a contact telephone number or a street address on the Site; privacy questions go through the contact form.

1. A note about a static website

Much of this Site runs entirely in your browser. Product data is bundled in JavaScript. The shopping cart, wishlist, and compare list are saved in localStorage on your device under keys such as te_cart. We cannot read that localStorage from our servers because this public catalog does not include a backend checkout API. When you submit a HTML form (contact, subscribe, unsubscribe, or checkout), the browser validates the fields and, in this demo implementation, shows an on-page confirmation rather than posting to a remote database. If we later connect a form endpoint, we will update this Policy and only collect what we need to reply or to complete a digital order.

You can clear cart data by emptying the cart on the Site or by clearing site data in your browser settings. Clearing data cannot be undone.

2. Information you provide

Depending on the form, you may provide:

• Name and email address (checkout, contact, subscribe, unsubscribe)
• Organization name and free-text notes (checkout)
• Topic and message body (contact)
• Consent that you agree to the Terms (checkout)

We do not ask for a billing street, a government ID, or a phone number on these pages. Please do not paste secrets, passwords, or full payment card numbers into message fields. This Site is not a card-capture form.

If a representative follows up on an order, you may later share additional details by email (for example, a preferred seat count). That email thread is used to fulfill the digital product you requested.

3. Information collected automatically

When you request pages and images, your browser sends standard technical data to the host that serves the files: IP address, date and time, user-agent, referrer, and the URL of the asset. Hosting and DNS providers log this data to operate the Site, detect abuse, and measure traffic. We do not use that log to advertise to you on other websites unless we introduce a documented analytics or advertising tool and update this Policy.

Fonts may be loaded from Google Fonts and icons from a public CDN. Those third parties receive the technical data inherent in a font or CSS request. Their policies govern that transfer.

We do not currently drop advertising cookies from this storefront. If that changes, we will describe the cookies, their duration, and how to refuse them.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

• Validate forms so incomplete or malformed emails do not enter a queue
• Respond to contact messages and partnership inquiries
• Confirm digital orders and send license keys or download instructions
• Add or remove an address from a marketing list when you ask
• Protect the Site against spam and fraud
• Comply with law, including lawful requests and recordkeeping for digital goods
• Improve copy, catalog structure, and accessibility of the storefront

We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood in US state privacy laws. We do not share emails with unrelated data brokers for their independent marketing.

5. Email marketing and CAN-SPAM

If you subscribe, we may send announcements about new digital products, seasonal license sales, and educational articles. Every marketing message will include a way to unsubscribe. The Unsubscribe Email page in the footer is always available even if you cannot find a particular campaign.

Transactional mail about an order you placed — for example, “here is your key” — is not marketing. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not cancel an order or delete a license you already received.

We honor unsubscribe requests for marketing mail. After you submit a valid email on the unsubscribe page, we will stop future campaigns to that address. Processing is prompt; a message already in transit may still arrive.

6. Sharing

We may share information with:

• Service providers who host the Site, send email, or help us review orders, under contracts that limit their use of the data
• Creators or publishers of a specific product when fulfillment requires them to issue a seat (we share the minimum needed, such as a name and email)
• Professional advisors (for example, accountants) when reasonably necessary
• Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of licenses
• A successor if we transfer the catalog as part of a business transaction, with notice on this page if practical

Social sharing buttons in the footer open third-party networks. If you choose to share, those networks collect data under their own policies. We do not control Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Pinterest.

7. Retention

Form submissions used for an order may be kept as long as needed to provide the license, handle a refund discussion, and meet tax or accounting rules for digital commerce in the United States. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or the list is retired. Browser localStorage remains until you clear it.

Server logs are kept according to the host’s default rotation unless a security investigation requires a longer hold.

8. Security

We use HTTPS where the host provides it, input validation on forms, and least-privilege access for anyone who reads inbound mail. No method of transmission is perfectly secure. You should use a unique password on your email account because that inbox is how digital goods arrive.

Do not send payment card PAN, CVV, or bank login credentials through the contact form.

9. Children

The Site is intended for adults buying business and creator tools. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not direct the catalog at children. If you believe a child submitted a form, use the contact page so we can delete the record.

10. Your choices and US state rights

You may:

• Decline to fill optional fields
• Clear localStorage to remove cart and wishlist data
• Unsubscribe from marketing mail
• Ask, via the contact form, what email records we hold about you in an active mailbox, subject to verifying that you control the address
• Ask us to correct a name on a pending order before a key is issued

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including, without limitation, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and others as they come into force) may have rights to know, delete, or correct personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing. Because this storefront is designed around a client-side cart and email follow-up, the personal information we hold is typically limited to what you typed into a form and what a representative stored to fulfill a license. To exercise a right, submit the contact form with the subject “Privacy request” and enough detail for us to locate the email. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

We do not use sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics. We do not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal effects without human review of orders.

11. International visitors

The catalog is written for the USA and priced in USD. If you visit from another country, your information may be processed in the United States, where privacy rules differ from those of your home jurisdiction. Do not use the Site if you are not comfortable with that transfer.

12. Third-party products and links

Blog posts and product pages may mention tools such as Figma, Notion, or course platforms. Those companies are not under our control. Buying a license from us does not enroll you in their privacy practices automatically; only the relationship described on the product page applies.

13. Photographs and media

Lifestyle photographs on the Site depict real environments and people and are used to illustrate digital work. They are not watermarked dummy stock. Team portraits illustrate the people behind the brand. If you appear in a photo and want it reviewed, contact us.

14. Changes to this Policy

We will post updates on this page and change the “last updated” date. If we introduce a new checkout processor or analytics suite that materially expands collection, we will describe it here before it goes live on the production Site.

15. How to reach us about privacy

Use the Contact Us form. Identify the email address involved and whether your question is about an order, a newsletter, or a legal request. We do not list a phone number or postal address on this Site, consistent with a digital-only operating model.

Your trust is part of the product. Digital goods only work when the inbox on the other side is respectful.
